The number of frames per second at which a movie is played or recorded. Frame rate does not affect a movieΓÇÖs playing time.
For example, a QuickTime movie recorded on a Macintosh Quadra at 30 frames per second would play on a Macintosh LC at a lower frame rate, but the movieΓÇÖs total playing time would not change.
